The best thing about this hotel is the Sky Bar and the views, but it is not the only hotel with nice views in Benidorm.
Lo mejor de este hotel es el Sky Bar y las vistas, pero no es el único hotel con vistas bonitas en Benidorm.
From the moment we arrived, we encountered problems, since we asked for a room with a balcony in the reservation and ours did not have one, but in the end it was solved. The guy at the reception misinformed us about the opening hours of the Sky Bar, telling us that it closes at 9.30 pm. We had dinner early, at 19:00 and fast because we had the reservation at 20:00. Another problem was that he charged us the entrance to the Sky Bar downstairs at reception, which should not be done because then the girl at the entrance of the Sky Bar does not balance the box.
Arrived at the room, I was surprised to see very outdated furniture, a bathroom where the floor had not been mopped, full of stains, a tiny shower and a bathtub with a screen with iron frame full of lime. I had to shower with flip flops on because the shower tray was stained and did not give me confidence. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom, I don't think the dust had been cleaned in months. The mirror in the bedroom was full of stains.
On the first day at breakfast, a lady in a suit and very rude, addresses me, telling me that I can not toast my croissant because the toaster is broken, a statement that I found ridiculous, since it is the first time I have been told this, after having traveled so much in my life. Another friend, the same morning, told me that she had toasted her croissant and that no one had said anything to her and obviously nothing had happened to the toaster.
The food in general, quite good, but without great variety. What surprised us was that on any day, being a beach hotel, they have not served seafood, or at least, frozen calamari.
As for dessert, my biggest complaint. Of fruit, there were only pears, apples and oranges, as if it were a cheap canteen. Even in a 3 star hotel where some friends stayed, they had strawberries, bananas, watermelon, melon, grapes, pineapple. If they can't put it all, cale, but at least vary with some seasonal fruit.
I have a sweet tooth, but at no time in the 2 lunches and 2 dinners we had, have I not been able to eat some cake. I regret having ingested calories for nothing, tasting everything, taking only one teaspoon of each and leaving it on the table.
They served mixed paella with seafood and chicken and they didn't even have a sachet of ajoacenite.
The spa is very small, what you see in the photos of the pool with jets is all there is in size. When we wanted to hire two massages we were told that the cheapest ones could not be done, only the ones for 100 € per person. I am not going to pay for a weekend 220 € and spend another 200 on 2 massages, obviously.
The rest of the staff, friendly and polite, especially the waiters at the bar.
We were there this weekend to relax after a long season of intense work and instead of that, we found problems and the occasional rude or misinformed emoleado.
There are many things that have to be changed in this hotel, so that it deserves the name of GRAN Bali Hotel.
Desde la llegada, hemos encontrado problemas, ya que en la reserva hemos pedido una habitación con balcón y la nuestra no tenía,pero al final se ha solucionado. El chico de la recepción nos informó mal del horario del Sky Bar, diciendonos que cierra a las 21.30. Hemos cenado pronto, a las 19 y rápido porque teníamos la reserva a las 20. Otro problema ha sido que nos ha cobrado la entrada del Sky Bar abajo en recepción, cosa que no se debe hacer porque luego a la chica de la entrada del Sky Bar no le cuadra la caja.
Llegados a la habitación, me sorprendió ver unos muebles muy anticuados, un baño donde no se había fregado el suelo, llebo de manchas, una ducha diminuta y una bañera con con una mampara con marco de hierro lleno de cal. Me tuve que duchar con las chanclas puestas porque el plato de ducha era manchado y no me daba confianza. En el espejo de aumento del baño, creo que no se habia limpiado el polvo en meses. El espejo de la habitación lleno de manchas.
En el primer día en el desayuno, una señorita trajeada y muy borde, se dirige hacía mi, diciéndome que no puedo tostar mi cruasán porque se estropea la tostadora, afirmación que me pareció ridícula, ya que es la primera vez que me dicen esto, después de haber viajado tanto en mi vida. Otra amiga, la misma mañana me dice que ella ha tostado su cruasán y que a ella nadie le ha dicho nada y obviamente no le ha pasado nada a la tostadora.
La comida en general, bastante bien, pero sin gran variedad. Lo que nos sorprendió ha sido que en ningún día, siendo hotel de playa, no han servido marisco, o por lo menos, unis calamares congelados.
En cuanto al postre, mi mayor queja. De fruta, sólo habían peras, manzanas y naranjas, como si fuera una cantina barata. Incluso en un hotel de 3 estrellas que se alojaron unos amigos, tenían fresas, platanos, sandia, melón, uvas, piña. Si no lo pueden poner todo, cale, pero por lo menos, variar con alguna fruta de temporada.
Yo soy adicta al dulce, pero en ningún momento en las 2 comidas y 2 cenas que tuvimos, no he podido comer algún pastel. Me arrepiento de haber ingerido calorias para nada, probandolo todo, tomando una sola cucharita de cada y dejandolo en la mesa.
Han servido paella mixta con marisco y pollo y no tenían ajoacenite ni siquiera de sobre.
El spa es muy pequeño, lo que se ve en las fotos de la piscina con chorros es todo lo hay de tamaño. Al querer contratar dos masajes nos dicen que no se pueden realizar los mas baratos si no, solo los de 100 € por persona. No voy a pagar para un fin de semana 220 € y gastarme otros 200 en 2 masajes, obviamente.
El resto del personal, amable y educado, sobre todo los camareros del bar.
Estuvimos en este fin de semana para relajarnos después de una larga temporada de trabajo intenso y en vez de eso, nos encontramos problemas y algún que otro emoleado maleducado o malinformado.
Hay muchas cosas que se tienen que cambiar en este hotel, para que se merezca el nombre de Hotel GRAN Bali.

Peak hours the elevators are not enough ....but it is normal so many people a little patience and that's all.

THE ROOM IS FINE AND THE BUILDING IS VERY BEAUTIFUL
LA HABITACION ESTÁ BIEN Y EL EDIFICIO ES MUY BONITO
THE LOCATION IS NOT IDEAL, IT IS BETTER THE EAST BEACH THAN THE WEST BEACH.
VERY CROWDED HOTEL, LONG WAITS TO EAT, AND THE FOOD LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED, SOMETIMES THERE WAS ONLY ONE KIND OF FRUIT.
LA SITUACIÓN NO ES LA IDÓNEA, ES MEJOR LA PLAYA DE LEVANTE QUE LA DE PONIENTE
HOTEL MUY MASIFICADO, LARGAS ESPERAS PARA COMER, Y LA COMIDA DEJA MUCHO QUE DESEAR, EN ALGUNA OCASIÓN SOLO HABÍA UNA CLASE DE FRUTA

The Spa was fine and the girls there were very nice.
The guy at the reception desk on arrival and another one on departure attended us correctly and diligently.
El Spa estuvo bien y las chicas de allí fueron muy agradables.
El chico de recepción a la llegada y otro a la salida nos atendieron correcta y diligentemente.
The Gran Bali has left much to be desired. The bathroom screen was from when the hotel was inaugurated, the water came out. The extraction machines made an unbearable noise and you could not be on the balcony. The hotel needs to be upgraded.
Lunch and dinner were identical and not very good. Also in the dining room they have organizational problems; when you needed a glass, there was no cutlery, if you asked if they were going to restock something, etc. whenever you approached an employee to ask, he would answer you stressed saying that another colleague was carrying it. And zero smiles in general. Unhappy employees.
El Gran Bali ha dejado mucho que desear. La mampara del baño era de cuando inauguraron el hotel, se salía el agua. Las máquinas de extracción hacían un ruido insoportable y no se podía estar en el balcón. Está para actualizar el hotel.
La comida y cena eran idénticas y no muy buenas. Además en el comedor tienen problemas de organización; cuando necesitabas un vaso, no había cubierto, si preguntabas si iban a reponer algo, etc. siempre que te acercabas a un empleado a preguntar, te contestaba estresado diciendo que eso lo llevaba otro compañero. Y cero sonrisas en general. Empleados descontentos.

The dirt on the terraces, there were no waiters to serve all the tables on the terrace to remove service, lack of qualified personnel. The dining room was uncontrolled by the waiters, there were no delimited areas.
La suciedad en las terrazas, no habian camareros para servir en terraza todas las mesas por retirar servicio,falta de personal cualificado. El comedor descontrol por oarte de camareros no tenian zonas delimitads.

The views from the room and the spa the best of the hotel, the spa girl super nice.

Las vistas desde la habitación y el spa lo mejor del hotel ,la chica del spa super agradable.

The food was very greasy and rather poor, at least there was enough to make a salad. The dishes were mostly dirty and the dishwasher could not handle more, long lines to get in and out of the dining room.
Comida con mucha grasa y bastante regulera, menos mal que había para hacerse ensalada. la vajilla la mayoría sucia se ve que no daba el lavavajillas para mas, largas colas para entrar y salir del comedor.
