          Hidden cancellation trap
          Hidden cancellation trap, dead phone lines, and silence I cancelled my booking (ref 3793920402) on 16 May 2026, well within the free-cancellation period that ran until 19 May. The cancellation failed for one reason only: the secondary ā€œconfirmationā€ email their system requires went straight to my spam folder. You are never asked to confirm twice when booking ā€” only when cancelling ā€” which makes this a trap, not a genuine process. I had to cancel for an unavoidable medical reason and sent a doctorā€™s certificate. The hotel itself agreed to waive all fees and approved a full refund.
