The food buffet was awsome! The breakfast had fresh oringe juice machine, which is very rare even fi 4-star hotels. Dinner was also very various and good quality. They change the towels EVERY day. The location is right next to the main bus stop, so it’s convenient to use the shuttle from the airport!
There is no ventilation in the room and bathroom, so the moist and smell from the bathroom goes to the room, which is not nice. The walls are pretty thin, so it gets really noisy in the evening, it is not suited for light-sleepers. There aren’t enough electric outlets in the room. It is very dark in the room, the lights are all different. The staff don’t speak English, only French and Spanish, but we managed somehow. Otherwise it was okay.

The staff at Hotel Cal Ruiz were amazing and attentive, reception (Barbara) Bar staff (Adrián y Fran) the waiter (from Calella), the very friendly breakfast waitress from Portugal. Especially David the chef (from Santa Cruz,Ten). The food was really excellent. Thank you to you all.
The food was not so good on the night David wasn’t cooking. On the night David was not working, the food came out late and it was cold.
Shame there is not consistency in the food.

We paid half board and the only served lunch two night. I do understand they were quiet but we didn’t get what we paid for. Also they tried to charge us for the two nights…

The lack of a common area where you can relax after dinner is a real drawback, as the dining room is now combined with the reception area. What's missing is a space with armchairs where you can unwind after skiing, rather than just your room. The dining room is currently too small to accommodate the number of guests staying at the hotel, forcing a dinner schedule that prevents you from doing other activities, otherwise you might miss out on dinner.

Too little storage in the bedroom, none in the bathroom. Housekeeping under words leaving much to be desired. On ́nous annoncé une douche et une baignoire et nous ́avaient qu'une baignoire dans laquelle on ne pouvait pas accrocher le pommeau de douche. Food always the same every night, we let ourselves. The hotel is magnificent in photos but not up to scratch in person. Too far from the slopes.

The food was excellent. Breakfast had a great variety, fresh orange juice (a real treat), and dinner was superb. They should extend the meal times: there was a 7:30 pm shift and another at 8:30 pm, which forced us to eat something quickly. But overall, the meals were a 10 out of 10.
La comida de 10. Desayuno con mucha variedad, zumo natural de naranja ( todo un lujo), cena estupenda. Deberían ampliar los turnos : había un turno de 19h30 y otro a las 20h30, que nos obligaba a comer algo rápido. Pero con respecto a las comidas un 10.
Facilities without main areas (if you go alone there is no problem but if you go in a group it can be a problem) and rooms somewhat outdated but clean.
Instalaciones sin zonas comunes ( si vas individual no hay problema pero si vas en grupo puede ser un problema)y habitaciones algo anticuadas pero limpias.

The buffet was very good, a variety of food and everything was very tasty, the lasagna was incredible, definitely the best thing on the buffet. Breakfast was average but sufficient to start the day well.

The hotel is simple but offers what you need. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable, the location is excellent, and the food at breakfast and dinner is superb in quality and variety. Free ski lockers and friendly staff. Naturally, as with all buffets, drinks are not included in the price, and the prices they charge separately are reasonable. Just be aware of the extra cost of car park, which is unrelated to the hotel, but should be factored into your budget. Street car park is €10 per day and covered car park is €24 per day. If it snows, the covered car park is advisable because there are signs warning that they will fine or tow cars when the snowplow needs to clear the road!
El Hotel es simple pero ofrece lo que uno necesita, las habitaciones son pequeñas pero muy limpias y comodas, la ubicación es muy buena, la comida en desayuno y cena es excelente en calidad y opciones. Guardaesqui gratuito y personal amable.
Naturalmente como en todos los buffets las bebidas no son incluida en el precio, y los precios que cobran a parte son normales. Solo tener cuidado con el gasto extra del aparcamiento, que no tiene nada que ver con el hotel, pero hay que considerarlo en el presupuesto. En la calle 10 euros al día y aparcamiento cubierto 24 euro al día, si nieva es acansejable el cubierto porque hay carteles que dicen que multan o quitan los coche cuando tiene que pasar el quitanieve!
I would only suggest adding a few more hooks for ski clothes in the bedrooms; we didn't know where to hang the wet clothes! And a small shelf or rack in the bathroom would also be more convenient; there's very little space to put the toiletries bag on the sink!
