The hotel is located in an idyllic spot on the northeast coast of Mauritius. It is 15 minutes from the airport by helicopter and 35 km from the capital Port Louis. It is built on 60 hectares of unspoiled private land, sheltered from the prevailing wind and a place that guarantees its guests the utmost privacy. It is a beach hotel named after Van Nassau, Dutch governor and pioneer of the spice trade in the Indian Ocean, to whom the hotel pays tribute. The complex has a total of 89 rooms. Guests are welcomed in the lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Other facilities include a safe, currency exchange, hairdressing salon, children's playground, children's club, bar, restaurant, conference facilities, Internet access, room and laundry service, car park and bicycle rental. Junior suites have thatched roofs and are grouped in units of 8. Most (68) are located on the ground or second floor. There are another 8 suites built on stilts in a natural fish reserve. Each accommodation has its own bedroom with double bed, indoor living area and terrace or balcony. All have a bathroom with double cosmetic mirror, shower, bathtub and separate toilet, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, cable/satellite TV, radio, Internet access, safe, minibar, coffee/tea maker and adjustable air conditioning.
