About the accommodation

This historic hotel reopened its doors at the end of 2008 after being closed for several decades. It has been painstakingly restored to respect its original design and to achieve period furnishings and finishes. The hotel was built in 1945 in the shape of a ship and simulates being anchored on the boulevard. Its central location allows easy access to the historical, cultural and commercial center of the city, where the José Martí Square (with a sundial and sea calendar), the Tunas Theater, the Provincial Museum and the Memorial Mayor General Vicente García, a memorial to the leader who ordered the city to be burned on September 26 in 1876 before surrendering it to Spanish enemies. All rooms have been completely refurbished and are equipped with all kinds of services and facilities.
