          We've been coming to this hotel for 15 years, and for us, it's like coming home. The staff's service is outstanding. The rooms, although some need updating, are fine. And we've seen that the spa is undergoing a complete renovation, which we loved.

          Everything perfect. Food of very good quality, perhaps a little limited in variety of dishes.

          The only thing to point out is the spa access. People crowd to get into the pool, there are no lockers to leave belongings or to change or shower afterwards. The receptionist leans out the door and shouts that we have to get out — I don’t think that’s the way... you know sessions are 45 minutes. In short, we didn’t use a thermal pool session because they didn’t provide showers or a place to change the day before and we had to check out earlier.
          El único detalle a destacar es a la hora del balneario. Se agolpa la gente para poder acceder a la piscina, no facilitan taquillas para dejar las cosas o para cambiarte o ducharte después. La persona de recepción se asoma a la puerta y chilla que nos tenemos que salir, no creo que sea la manera... se sabe que son 45 minutos... En definitiva, nosotros no usamos una sesión de piscina termal ya que no nos facilitaron ni duchas ni sitio para cambiarnos el dia anterior y teníamos que dejar la habitación antes.

          I've stayed in 2-star hotels with better buffets than this 4-star one. We had two hours per person and could only enjoy one — they closed the pool for an aquagym class without warning, even though we'd booked the spa in advance.

          The staff were generally fine, but the lady with short, curly hair was very rude to us. There was a children's umbrella at reception, and she asked if it was ours, which I understood to be a question about whether we needed it. She replied very rudely. In short, she doesn't know how to take care of guests (the rest of the reception staff were a 10, but the lady with curly hair was a zero).

          The prices. It’s quite expensive for what it is. You have to pay extra for all the services and they’re quite costly. I booked Half Board with forty-five minutes’ access to the pool; considering it’s a spa, things like the sauna should be included in the price. The room was very hot and the air conditioning was too noisy so you couldn’t sleep. The phone in our room didn’t work so we couldn’t call reception; I reported it and no one came to fix it.
          Los precios. Es bastante caro para lo que es. Todos los servicios los tienes que pagar aparte y son bastante caros. Contraté media pensión con cuarenta y cinco minutos de entrada a la piscina, teniendo en cuenta que son balneario debería entrar dentro del precio por ejemplo la sauna. En la habitación hacía mucho calor y el aire acondicionado hacía demasiado ruido y no te dejaba dormir. En nuestra habitación no funcionaba el teléfono para poder llamar a recepción, lo comunique y no vinieron a arreglarlo.

          Alhama is a unique spot for unforgettable excursions and then relaxing in the pleasant spa afterwards. The hotel is clean and its buffet, although it could be improved, is also fine.

          From our arrival they tried to sell us a room upgrade, swimming caps, bathrobes, etc. Nothing like what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. When we declined the upgrade they gave us room 307 which, as we discovered, faces the hotel suppliers’ loading and unloading area, so there was noise and banging from first thing in the morning. On Saturday we found the spa overcrowded — so much so that we had to wait to enjoy any of the more than 20 water experiences they offer in the pool. The only thing available was the foot bath.
          Desde nuesta llegada intentaron vendernos mejora de habitación, gorros de baño, albornoz, etc. Nada propio de un 4 estrellas. Al no aceptar el upgrade de habitación nos dieron la 307 que, como pudimos comprobar, da a la zona de carga y descarga de los proveedores del hotel, teniendo ruido y golpes desde primerísima hora. El sábado encontramos el SPA masificado, tanto como para tener que estar esperando para poder disfrutar de alguna de las más de 20 experiencias acuaticas que ofrecen en su piscina. Lo unico que estaba libre era el pediluvio
