The value for money is quite good, the location is ideal, literally directly on the slopes (you can walk down one slope to a chairlift practically from the ski lockers ). The staff were friendly, spoke to us in Spanish when we asked, and answered all our questions cordially.
La relación calidad-precio está bastante bien, la ubicación es idónea, literalmente a pie de pista (bajas una pista a un telesilla prácticamente desde el guarda esquís).
El personal se mostró amable, nos habló en español cuando lo pedimos y resolvieron todas nuestras dudas cordialmente.
Breakfast (if you're used to a typical buffet) leaves much to be desired; it's just bread (untoasted), butter and jam, milk, and coffee. Everything else is extra. The rooms are a bit small, with no space to store belongings and suitcases without them getting in the way. The bathroom faucets are push-button (automatic shut-off), which makes washing up a bit of a hassle, especially in the shower.
El desayuno (si vienes acostumbrado a un buffet típico) deja mucho que desear, es únicamente pan (sin tostar), mantequilla y mermelada, leche y café. El resto era de pago.
Las habitaciones con un poco pequeñas, sin espacio para tener los enseres y maletas sin que estorben por medio.
Los grifos del baño son de botón (de apagado automático) y es un poco engorro asearse así, especialmente la ducha.

You don't really know what you're booking, and apart from a few rooms (which, from what I saw, were also small), the hostel rooms are ridiculous. Two bunk beds for a total of four in a 3m x 2m room with a wardrobe that's barely big enough for your toiletries and little else. There's no space or place to put bags or suitcases, let alone all the ski gear, which is supposedly why you go to Piau Engaly. The cubicles or rooms are ridiculous, not even suitable for kids. The toilets and showers are shared and smell bad. You have to bring flip-flops if you don't want to come back with a fungal infection, or who knows what. Personally, this is the worst place I've ever stayed in my entire life. I wouldn't go back to those kinds of rooms even if they were free. If I ever return to that hostel, I'll have to see photos and measurements of what they're trying to sell me. The only redeeming qualities are the staff and the location. If we had booked this place for more than a few days, we definitely would have left.

Having direct access to the slopes is unique. Lockers for storing skis. The staff is incredibly friendly; those who didn't speak Spanish did their best to make themselves understood. The lounge area has games and a great atmosphere.

It's a complete scam, at best it can be described as a hostel. The private rooms are a bed inside a wardrobe. Nothing works, you ask for a hair dryer and they tell you they don't have one (there was one and it burned down, really). Bed bug marks on the mattresses (they don't even reach mattresses). Breakfast is coffee, milk, bread, butter and jam. They don't even offer a toaster. And many other things, do yourself a favor and don't stay there.

Nada funciona, les pides un secador de pelo y te dicen que no tienen (había uno y se quemo, real). Marcas de chinches en las colchonetas (no llegan a colchones). The hostel has everything you need for a good stay, the rooms are simple but clean with storage etc. Bathrooms nearby. The common area downstairs is friendly, we had a very good stay.
L'auberge dispose de tout le nécessaire pour passer un bon séjour, les chambres sont simples mais propres avec des rangements etc. Salles de bain à proximité. L'espace commun en bas est convivial, nous avons passé un très bon séjour.
Avoid renting equipment from the hostel, it is better to rent directly from the shop (ecoskis very good prices and very professional)
