The Cosmopolitan is one of the oldest hotels in Leeds and was known for more than 100 years as the Golden Lion hotel. It is located in the center of Leeds, near the shopping area and the main train station (two minutes walk). Located right in the heart of Leeds and near the center of shows, businesses and shops, it is perfect for business travellers or families on holiday. All 89 rooms are medium to large in size and decorated in soft muted tones. Facilities include in-room bathroom, hairdryer, trouser press, and hospitality tray. Wharf Brasserie is Cosmopolitan's restaurant and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Wharf Brassiere has an excellent local reputation both for its good cuisine and for its affordable prices. The Wharf bar serves food and drinks throughout the day and has a large television screen. The hotel dates from the 18th century.
