Feedback after a 2-week holiday with two teenagers in two renovated rooms (excluding tour operators).
The hotel is a little out of the way from the beach and the town center, but close to a starting point for some remarkable hikes. Having a rental car, we didn't suffer from this location.
Hotel still being renovated, but no inconvenience caused.
Meals well prepared, fresh, food to satisfy everyone. Excellent Italian restaurant on booking, in a quiet location, bravo to the kitchen staff!
All the hotel's cleaning teams (pool, restaurant, rooms, etc.) work hard every day, but are unable to make up for the lack of respect and education shown by people who let their garbage and food fly away or fall to the ground without reacting, on a very windy island.
We'd like to underline the motivation and dedication of the entertainment team, who are committed to making sure we have a great holiday . (Thank you again, gentlemen, we had a lot of fun!)
Retour d’expérience après 2 semaines de vacances en couple avec deux adolescents dans deux chambres rénovées (hors tour operator).
Hôtel un peu excentré vis à vis de la plage et du centre ville mais à proximité d’un point de départ de randonnées remarquables. Ayant une voiture de location nous n’avons pas souffert de cette localisation.
Hotel toujours en cours de rénovation, mais aucune gêne occasionnée.
Repas travaillés, frais, de la nourriture pour satisfaire tout le monde. Restaurant Italien sur réservation excellent, au calme, bravo aux équipes de cuisine!!
Toutes les équipes de ménage de l’hôtel (piscine, restaurant, chambres etc) travaillent quotidiennement d’arrache pieds mais ne peuvent palier au manque de respect et d’éducation des gens qui laissent leurs détritus et nourriture s’envoler ou tomber au sol sans réaction, sur une île très venteuse.
Nous soulignons la motivation et l’engouement de l’équipe d’animation qui a à cœur de nous faire passer de bonnes vacances. (Merci encore Messieurs, nous avons bien rigolé!)
Points for urgent improvement:
- pleasant pool, but the Water Slides are advertised on the hotel website, but only 2 out of three, or even 1 out of three, are usable. The green spiral slide never worked during our stay, and nothing seems to have been done about it (a clear disappointment for the teenagers!). At the pool, the rules are posted but not respected: people book their deckchairs and parasols all day long without being present, and the management does nothing despite our notification at reception. In the morning, holidaymakers even climb over the fence before the 10 a.m. opening in full view of the cleaning staff in order to reserve deckchairs! Staff and management need to be present at these times to enforce the rules, as this behavior penalizes respectful guests.
- Another negative point is the soundproofing of the rooms with respect to the corridor, which is non-existent. Once again, it was impossible to get a good night's sleep due to the disrespectful behavior of some guests, a problem that was once again raised at the hotel reception desk, without any solution being found. It would be nice if posters in the main areas called for silence, and if housekeepers would keep their voices down, as the purpose of a holiday is to rest, not to be woken up at 07:00! Consideration should be given to equipment aspects of the renovation (door seals, door brakes, etc.).
- The budget allocated to activities can't be very high at present, with few outside contributors and no room sheltered from the wind. Let's hope that in the future, the petanque and multisports courts will soon be available, and that the animation team will have real means at its disposal.
In conclusion, we had a good holiday which, with a little effort on the part of the hotel's management, could have been excellent enough to live up to its four-star status.
Points à améliorer de manière urgente:
- piscine agréable, cependant les toboggans sont mis en avant sur le site de l’hôtel mais seulement 2 sur trois voir 1 sur trois ne sont utilisables, le toboggan vert en spirale n’ayant jamais fonctionné durant notre séjour et rien ne semble entreprit pour palier à cela (nette déception pour les ados!). Toujours au niveau de la piscine, les règles sont affichées mais non respectées, les gens réservent leurs transats et parasols toute la journée sans être présents et la direction ne fait rien malgré notre notification à l’accueil. Le matin les vacanciers escaladent même la clôture avant l’ouverture de 10h aux yeux du personnel de nettoyage afin de réserver les transats! Le personnel et la direction doivent être présents à ces heures pour faire respecter le règlement, ces agissements pénalisant les personnes respectueuses.
- Autre point négatif, l’insonorisation des chambres vis à vis du couloir, cette dernière étant inexistante. Impossible de dormir du fait une nouvelle fois de l’irrespect de certaines personnes, problème à nouveau soulevé à la réception de l’hôtel sans solution. Il serait bien que des affiches dans les parties communes appellent au silence, que les femmes de ménage parlent moins fort, le but des vacances étant de se reposer et non d’être réveillés à 07h00! Une réflexion matérielle dans le cadre de la rénovation devrait être envisagée (joint de portes, freins de portes etc).
- Le budget alloué aux animations ne doit pas à l’heure actuelle être très élevé, peu d’intervenants extérieurs, pas de salle à l’abri du vent. En espérant qu’à l’avenir le terrain de pétanque et multisports soient rapidement disponibles et que l’équipe d’animation dispose de réels moyens.
En conclusion, nous avons passé de bonnes vacances qui, avec quelques efforts des dirigeants de l’hôtel, auraient pu être excellentes pour être à la hauteur des ses quatre étoiles.
