This luxury hotel served as accommodation for the German national soccer team during the 2004 World Cup. It is located within a 20-hectare area, surrounded by a pine forest and a beautiful park. The fine sandy beach Praia do Garrão (unguarded in winter) is 800 meters away. There is a daily bus service to Vale do Lobo (about six kilometres away) and, during high season, between June and September, a shuttle service from the hotel to the beach (800 meters away). Within two kilometres from the hotel you will find several stores and stores, as well as bars, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and public transportation. Faro airport is 20 kilometres away. This hotel, built in 1998 and renovated in 2004, is surrounded by a huge garden of 3,500 m² and has a seven-storey building with a total of 175 rooms, 166 of which are doubles and 9 are suites.
