Review of Illyssion Hotel – 1 Week Stay (All Inclusive) We had a one-week stay at Illyssion Hotel (all inclusive), and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. 1. False Advertising The first and most important point: the photos shown on Amirmir.com and the hotel’s website bear no resemblance to reality. When booking, you expect a hotel to look as advertised – this is not the case here. 2. Hotel Condition The entire hotel looks like it hasn’t been renovated or properly maintained for at least 20 years. Basic repairs and upkeep seem to have been ignored, which impacts both functionality and guest comfort. 3. The Room The walls had large cracks, as if the building had been through an earthquake. Furniture was old, dirty, and looked like it had been picked up off the street. Bed sheets were stained, and the walls had mysterious marks. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition, with visible dirt everywhere. Ants were crawling on the floor and even in the bed. TV offered only 3 channels, giving a 1990s vibe. AC use 8eur a day. WiFi in the room 4 euro a day– hard to believe in 2025. The mini fridge was rusty, broken, made loud noises at night, and looked like it belonged in a prison cell. 4. Food & Facilities Food was canteen-like. Some meals were acceptable, but others were a disaster (lunch served on plastic plates – unhygienic and unacceptable for a supposed 4-star hotel). 5. Overall Experience This hotel urgently needs a complete renovation. At best, it qualifies for 2 stars. There are many other hotels in the area where you can actually get what you pay for without worrying about cleanliness and basic comfort. Message to the Owner: If you are running this hotel just for money, please reconsider. Hospitality is about guest experience, and this hotel fails on all levels. --- Additional Comment – Booking Experience via Amirmir.com Initially, we had booked a studio with kitchen at Pefki Beach Resort (3 stars) via Amirmir.com. The booking was confirmed, but upon arrival the receptionist Yanni told us there was no such booking. He kindly arranged a one-night stay since we had just arrived late in the evening with our 1.5-year-old son. The next day, after hours of back-and-forth communication with Amirmir customer service, we were told we could stay for the rest of the holiday – only to receive another call shortly after that we must move to a nearby 2-star hotel. After further complaints and wasted time, Amirmir finally rebooked us to Illyssion Hotel Pefki (4 stars, all inclusive). Even then, it took over 3 hours of calls between Amirmir CS and the hotel to get the booking properly confirmed. Verdict: Worst booking experience ever with Amirmir.com. We will not use this platform again.
