Start the moment you start fantasizing about it. When you obsessively look at a point on the map while playing the web about a destination, consulting books, guides, talking to other travellers or natives about the dream place, you're really on your way. You travel for work, for pleasure, alone or in company, to discover or get lost, to know yourself better or to connect with other people, to look at different cultures, other ways of life, other ways of looking. There are also contraindications, of course. Because, as Mark Twain said, "Travel is bad for prejudice, intolerance and intolerance." If, for whatever reason, your route passes through Madrid, Bastardo is your destination. We are not a hotel, we are not a bar, we are not a space for creation. We are all this and some other things. We are a meeting point for visitors and locals in the city center between Malasaña and Chueca. We know that no two holidays are alike.
