Clean smell from the room, new bathroom. Homemade food with very generous portions. Lovely and very helpful staff.
Olor a limpio de la habitación, baño nuevo. La comida casera con raciones muy generosas. El personal encantador y muy servicial.
I would have preferred a duvet cover instead of a sheet with a blanket. There were no hangers on the bathroom wall for towels and toilet paper.
Hubiese preferido funda nórdica en lugar de sábana con manta. No había colgadores en la pared del baño para las toallas y papel wc.

I loved it. The staff is super friendly and close. The hostel is very homely and beautiful. Great rooms, even with a terrace. The beds are very comfortable. It has been a 10/10, we will repeat without a doubt!

It is a hostel with simple but comfortable, clean and warm bedrooms. The beds are comfortable; With good insulation from the outside (noise and temperature) the noise from the inside if someone makes it is transmitted moderately. They have an elevator. I have gone about 10 times, passing through as many bedrooms, this last time with Esquiades. They are very nice. They have a hair dryer for those who need it at reception. In 2023 the complete menu is €16.50 and the one with a dish and dessert €11.30, it is of good quality and in quantity, in general, it is generous with an excellent value for money. As extras on the menu that looked good they had lamb ribs and beef entrecote, both from animals in the area. In particular, the "traditional" dishes stand out and among them the star of the winter is undoubtedly the escudella, a dish that in general is not to my personal taste and that here is very good, which has even more merit. In desserts, the traditional ones such as Filiberto, Flan de la casa or Catalan cream are also really good, now they have a sheep's milk yogurt from a nearby farm suitable even for refined palates. The breakfasts are also good, there is not a huge variety but it is wide enough and what they put is good, highlighting the croissants and especially the "Catalan" sausages. In summary, to go skiing or hiking you have had a very busy day and you arrive tired and hungry, you are looking for a simple, comfortable hostel at a reasonable price, you will be able to eat well in quantity and quality; Surely if you go to Can Josep you will repeat.
Es un Hostal de habitaciones sencillas pero cómodas, limpias y calientes. Las camas son confortables; con buen aislamiento del el exterior (ruido y temperatura) los ruidos del interior si alguien hace se transmiten moderadamente. Disponen de ascensor.
He ido unas 10 veces pasando por otras tantas habitaciones, esta última vez con Esquiades.
Son muy amables. Disponen de secador de pelo para quien lo necesite en recepción.
En 2023 el menú completo es de 16.50€ y el de un plato y postre 11.30€, es de buena calidad y en cantidad en general es generoso con una excelente relación calidad precio. Como extras del menú con buena pinta tenían costillas de cordero y Entrecot de ternera ambos de animales de la zona.
En especial destacan los platos "tradicionales" y entre ellos la estrella del invierno es sin duda la escudella, plato que en general no es de mi gusto personal y que aquí esta muy bueno lo que tiene si cabe más merito.
En los postres también los tradicionales como Filiberto, Flan de la casa o crema catalana están realmente bien, ahora disponen de un Iogurt de leche de oveja de una granja cercana apto incluso para paladares refinados.
Los desayunos están bien también no hay una enorme variedad pero si suficientemente amplia y lo que ponen esta bien, destacando los croissant y en especial los embutidos "catalanes".
En resumen para ir a esquiar o de excursión has tenido un día de mucho trote y llegas cansado y con hambre, buscas un hostal sencillo, confortable a precio razonable, podrás comer bien en cantidad y calidad; seguro si vas a Can Josep repetirás.
There is nothing that I have not liked. Now that I'm asking for newer bedrooms, (they have renovated some less time ago than others) and a slightly better wine on the menu, of course, then they still have to increase the price, because as I said, quality food and generous service are not gives for much more. They do not have air conditioning in the bedrooms, in general it is not necessary but with hot summers like 2022 it will still be needed.
No hay nada que no me haya gustado.
Ahora puestos a pedir me gustaría unas habitaciones más nuevas, (tienen unas reformadas hace menos tiempo que otras) y un vino algo mejor en el menú, claro que entonces igual tienen que aumentar el precio, pues como decía comida de calidad y servicio generoso no da para mucho más.
No tienen aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, en general no es necesario pero con veranos tórridos como el del 2022 igual se acabará necesitando.
