The hotel is located in Santo António da Serra, in the municipality of Santa Cruz, on the island of Madeira. The town of Santo da Serra is located about 10 minutes from Madeira airport and about 25 minutes from the city of Funchal. Santa Cruz city center and the beach are a 10-minute drive away. The hotel was built around 1930 by the Farra family and was later burned by this same family to prevent an illegal occupation during the revolution of April 25, 1974. In 1993 the hotel was acquired by the Pontes family. The building was completely abandoned and its reconstruction has taken a few years. Now, the hotel offers a luxurious landscape characterized by century-old trees, gardens and exotic flowers. Here you will have the opportunity to enjoy contact with nature in a peaceful and informal environment.. It is a family hotel with 9 bedrooms, bar, breakfast room and car park. All bedrooms have a bathroom, cable/satellite TV, central heating and a private terrace, as well as double beds. A continental breakfast is served. From the airport, take the highway in the direction of Funchal and after a few meters you will see a sign indicating Santo António da Serra and the entrance to the highway. Continue for a few kilometres following the signs indicating Santo da Serra. As you reach the top of the hill, you will see the golf course on the right. Pass the entrance to the golf course and then take the first street on the left, where the hotel is already indicated. The street is narrow at the beginning and is called Caminho do Poiso.
