          As for social behavior:

          • Don't touch another person's head (it is considered the most sacred part of the body).
          • Avoid pointing with your feet or leaning them on furniture or tables.
          • Keep a moderate moderate tone of voice in public spaces.

          Must-see places near you

One of the great things about Bangkok is that there is always something interesting within walking distance of your hotel. Depending on the area where you stay, you can organize very complete routes without crossing the whole city. Here are some must-see tours.

The Golden Triangle: Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun

If you have chosen hotels in Bangkok near the historic center or by the river, this is the essential tour:

          • Grand PalaceThe Grand Palace: former home of the kings of Siam and one of the most impressive architectural complexes in Southeast Asia.

Frequently asked questions about hotels in Bangkok

Before booking hotels in Bangkok it is normal to have doubts. The city is big, the traffic can be heavy and the hotel options are very varied. Here we will answer the most common questions to help you make the best decision.

Is it better to stay near the river or near the Skytrain?

It depends on your travel style.

          • Stay near the river (Riverside) is ideal if you are looking for tranquility, spectacular views and luxury hotels. Many offer private boat service to BTS stations, which compensates for less direct connection to the subway.
          • However, if you prioritize fast and economical mobility, it is more practical to choose a hotel close to the Skytrain (BTS) or the Subway (MRT). Being just a few minutes walk from a station will save you time and avoid depending on traffic.

Our advice: if it's your first time in Bangkok, prioritize proximity to the BTS.

Which hotels have the best infinity pools?

Bangkok is famous for its rooftop pools overlooking the skyline. Many upper-mid-range and luxury hotels include Infinity Pools on rooftops with spectacular panoramic views.

The best are usually found in:

          • Riverside Zonewith views of the Chao Phraya River
          • Silom and Sathorn, with urban views of skyscrapers
          • Sukhumvitwhere high-rise pools with modern ambience predominate.

If the pool is important to you, check well the actual photos and orientation (some receive direct sun only part of the day).

How to get from Suvarnabhumi airport to my hotel cheaply?

You have several options, but the most economical one is the Airport Rail Linka train that connects the airport with the center in about 30 minutes. From there you can connect with the BTS or MRT.

If your hotel is far away from stations, you can combine train + short cab. You can also use Grab or Bolt directly from the airport. It is more comfortable than a traditional cab and avoids negotiations.

Approximate time to the center is 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

Is it safe to walk around Bangkok at night?

Yes, Bangkok is a safe city for tourists. The most popular areas such as Sukhumvit, Silom or Siam are crowded until well into the early hours of the morning.

But, as in any big city it is advisable to use common senseAvoid dimly lit alleys, do not show large amounts of money and use reliable transportation at night.

Do hotels in Bangkok ask for a deposit at check-in?

Yes, most hotels in Bangkok ask for a security deposit at check-in. It can be:

          • A temporary blocking on a credit card
          • A cash payment to be returned at check-out

As you can see, Bangkok is a city to be experienced with all the senses: golden temples, street markets, skyscrapers and infinity pools. At Amimir.com you will find the best offer of hotels in Bangkok for you to enjoy an unforgettable holiday.

Enjoy your next adventure in Thailand!

          Hidden cancellation trap
Hidden cancellation trap, dead phone lines, and silence I cancelled my booking (ref 3793920402) on 16 May 2026, well within the free-cancellation period that ran until 19 May. The cancellation failed for one reason only: the secondary “confirmation” email their system requires went straight to my spam folder. You are never asked to confirm twice when booking — only when cancelling — which makes this a trap, not a genuine process. I had to cancel for an unavoidable medical reason and sent a doctor’s certificate. The hotel itself agreed to waive all fees and approved a full refund. Despite that, Amimir still refused to refund me. On top of this, every phone number on their website is dead — I tried repeatedly and not a single one connects. When I emailed, they hid behind “we are only an intermediary, not the direct provider,” pretended they would look into mediating, and then simply went silent. No reply, no refund, nothing. If you book here, understand that there is no real customer service when something goes wrong. Avoid.
