          Dress code at temples

If you plan to visit temples, you should pay attention to dress code. In places like the Grand Palace or Wat Pho, you are not allowed to enter with clothes considered inappropriate. Avoid shorts, skirts above the knee, sleeveless shirts or plunging necklines.. Ideally wear:

Respect for the Monarchy and the rules of social behavior

In Thailand, respect for the royal family is a serious matter.. Criticism of the monarchy is punishable by law. As a visitor, simply avoid political commentary and show respect when viewing images of the king or the national anthem (which is played in public spaces at certain times).

          As for social behavior:

          • Don't touch another person's head (it is considered the most sacred part of the body).
          • Avoid pointing with your feet or leaning them on furniture or tables.
          • Keep a moderate moderate tone of voice in public spaces.

Bangkok is a hospitable and friendly city, and with a respectful attitude you will have no problem. you won't have any problems.

          Must-see places near you

One of the great things about Bangkok is that there is always something interesting within walking distance of your hotel. Depending on the area where you stay, you can organize very complete routes without crossing the whole city. Here are some must-see tours.

The Golden Triangle: Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun

If you have chosen hotels in Bangkok near the historic center or by the river, this is the essential tour:

          • Grand PalaceThe Grand Palace: former home of the kings of Siam and one of the most impressive architectural complexes in Southeast Asia.
          • Wat Phofamous for its gigantic reclining Buddha and considered the cradle of traditional Thai massage.

You can visit them in a morning or afternoon, combining walking and boat crossing on the Chao Phraya.

From Chinatown (Yaowarat) to Chatuchak Market

If you like the gastronomy and local atmosphereyou can not miss Chinatown (Yaowarat). During the day it is bustling, but at night it transforms into one of the best places in the world for tasting street food and Chinese street food.

For a completely different experience, the Chatuchak market (open on weekends) is one of the largest in the world. Here you will find everything from handicrafts and clothing to decorations and typical food.

Frequently asked questions about hotels in Bangkok

Before booking hotels in Bangkok it is normal to have doubts. The city is big, the traffic can be heavy and the hotel options are very varied. Here we will answer the most common questions to help you make the best decision.

Is it better to stay near the river or near the Skytrain?

It depends on your travel style.

          • Stay near the river (Riverside) is ideal if you are looking for tranquility, spectacular views and luxury hotels. Many offer private boat service to BTS stations, which compensates for less direct connection to the subway.
          • However, if you prioritize fast and economical mobility, it is more practical to choose a hotel close to the Skytrain (BTS) or the Subway (MRT). Being just a few minutes walk from a station will save you time and avoid depending on traffic.

Our advice: if it's your first time in Bangkok, prioritize proximity to the BTS.

Which hotels have the best infinity pools?

Bangkok is famous for its rooftop pools overlooking the skyline. Many upper-mid-range and luxury hotels include Infinity Pools on rooftops with spectacular panoramic views.

The best are usually found in:

          • Riverside Zonewith views of the Chao Phraya River
          • Silom and Sathorn, with urban views of skyscrapers
          • Sukhumvitwhere high-rise pools with modern ambience predominate.

If the pool is important to you, check well the actual photos and orientation (some receive direct sun only part of the day).

How to get from Suvarnabhumi airport to my hotel cheaply?

You have several options, but the most economical one is the Airport Rail Linka train that connects the airport with the center in about 30 minutes. From there you can connect with the BTS or MRT.

If your hotel is far away from stations, you can combine train + short cab. You can also use Grab or Bolt directly from the airport. It is more comfortable than a traditional cab and avoids negotiations.

Approximate time to the center is 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

Is it safe to walk around Bangkok at night?

Yes, Bangkok is a safe city for tourists. The most popular areas such as Sukhumvit, Silom or Siam are crowded until well into the early hours of the morning.

But, as in any big city it is advisable to use common senseAvoid dimly lit alleys, do not show large amounts of money and use reliable transportation at night.

Do hotels in Bangkok ask for a deposit at check-in?

Yes, most hotels in Bangkok ask for a security deposit at check-in. It can be:

          • A temporary blocking on a credit card
          • A cash payment to be returned at check-out

As you can see, Bangkok is a city to be experienced with all the senses: golden temples, street markets, skyscrapers and infinity pools. At Amimir.com you will find the best offer of hotels in Bangkok for you to enjoy an unforgettable holiday.

Enjoy your next adventure in Thailand!

I went as part of a group of ten (3 children and 7 adults) the villa itself is a decent size and well laid out with all the amenities mentioned, however the property in some aspects looks very tired, for instance the outdoor furniture has seen better days and some of it desperately needs replacing. A large number of small issues such as loose fittings and missing handles were found and reported, to me these things should be picked up by the staff cleaning during the changeover period. The pool and hot tub are both of good size but again the cleanliness left a lot to desired, these things can make or break a holiday. All that is needed is for someone to walk around and ask them selves 'would i accept this standard' before I let new guests come in. Making Sure everything above 6ft high is clean and all switches/handles work or are at least present and masking tape is removed from around sockets of a newly painted room should be a minimum. If this was all sorted it would be a fantastic property to rent.

          No need to worry
I was a bit worried at the start because much lower rates than competition and a tiny advance to secure the booking was a bit suspicous to me. I also did not know anybody who used amimir. At the end of the day I got a really nice hotel for a great price with no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend the website and I will use it again.

My recent holiday was very missold
My recent holiday was very missold. I believe it said mini fridge, there was a fridge, but this was not stocked daily and only two bottles of water on arrival, expected to fill from filling station that I was not informed about until asking. Pool indoor spar pool pictured and asked about had not even finished been built and not open. Jacuzzi / whirlpool not opened and pictured, under reconstruction, but not mentioned. No hotel entertainment at all within resort. All inclusive was not all inclusive. Drinks available at pool side bar and in reception bar after 7pm. Beach bar was payable for all drinks, yet beach located specifically to hotel only. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Resort needs a strict warning that it is no good for people with mobility problems. I have severe bad knees and the hotel is built into a cliff, but sloops and steps are very steep up and down full resort, you can’t even get to the restaurant to eat without going up and down a massive slop, needs to be reflected within selling
